Playing passive then pushing the river is usually an indication of a big big hand.

Given how passivily the hand was played by villain I put him on a monster (boat probably) or a 9 for trips on the river (he's calling your flop bet on the flop w/ 2nd pair, checks turn because he doesnt have much, and pushes river because he hits trips and wants to get payed off).

anyhow you cant ever call this river bet unless you have a VERY good read.[/b]

Yeah missed draws do this, but usually after paying for their draw on flop AND turn. IMO.
