UG returns to poker!
That's right, I'm back. I hope everyone is doing well.
Anyway, it's been a long while since I played this game. Because of this I feel about as rusty as one can be. I sorta felt lost playing tonight. At the same time, though, it was lmost like I knew what to do most of the time.....but just didn't/couldn't do it for some reason (you'll see in some of these hands below, probably pretty elementary stuff to everyone here).
Over the course of about five hundred hands I lost two buy-ins (some of it was variance, most of it was just not playing very well). I'm not concerned at all, really, just here for a simple check-up. I'm really serious about starting to play again, so.....If you guys can check out these hands I'd appreciate it. I don't really need any long explanations, but just let me know what you think and if my reasoning/thinking is sound. Thanks.
BTW, four hands to look at so if you want to get out a piece of paper to jot your thoughts down feel free......I'm lazy and didn't feel like making four posts. :)
(Also, for what it's worth, I'm playing NL100 right now. My last experience with poker was NL200 and NL400. I may be c-betting just a little too much at these lower stakes, so that could be a leak that will fix itself once I move up levels. I plan on moving up levels once I get the hang of it again, because yes, I still have my entire BR, haha.)
Hand One: I messed up by not checking behind on the turn. "If you don't know what to do if you bet and get check-raised, don't bet," right?

Hand Two: Pretty stupid and basic stuff...Min-raise and a call, I should have reraised the roof preflop even being in a blind. If he calls then I probably really lose some money here (he'd hit two pair anyway), but I'm sure I could get away from it on the turn with the K hitting. Reraise to at least $10-$12 preflop?

Hand Three: Do you fire here on the flop? I reraise on the button and get flat *called* by one of the blinds...Flop comes 626, do I go ahead and fire at this once, instead of being a pussy and checking with position? No way (unless I have a good read) that I should be check/folding this hand, right?

Thanks for your time, I'll be back with more hands at some point.
P.S. Looking over this, and the rest of my HH from tonight, it looks like I'm playing super-duper weak right now. I'll (we'll) get it fixed.

first one you know where you went wrong. i probably just check/fold because i dont see them betting with a better hand very often.
second one is good but i usually bet the full pot on the turn.
third one is fine, but dont always be afraid to bet that flop.
last one i would just give up on the turn
-
Hand 1 I'd check the turn, it's a WA/WB situation here since he either has a 6, a PP, or maybe like A2.
Hand 2 looks fine, you need a good read to consider a river call.
Hand 3 looks standard.
Hand 4 I think is bad, especially the turn bet against a CS. Flop bet isnt bad unless he will call with air. If he folds no pair no draw its not a bad bet.
-
welcome back
hand 3. i like to pot flops after pf-reraise (i usually play full ring though).
-
Welcome back UG you dirty sumbitch!!
hand 1 - check behind on turn and attempt thin value bet on river if he checks again, fold if he bets big, call a weak bet <--thats my standard lines anyways
hand 2,3 - yea
hand 4 - give up after flop because board is pretty dry and that turn didn't help anything especially if he was on some kind of retarded draw

one more camper

Haven't read other replies. As big of an excercise for me as it is for you. Checking if my thoughts match :p
1) I check the turn not only because of the check/raise risk, but because in classic wa/wb fashion, you'll pick off a bluff on the river when youre ahead a lot of times.
2) Shitty river. Calling the river would be suicide. I pot it on the flop and turn.
3) Villain has a pocket pair. Youre behind, so I think you play good.
4) I dont know.

Welcome back UG, I agree with most responses:
Hand #1: No way you check this flop. I can see checking the turn, but our hand doesn't get any better giving up 2 free cards.
Hand #2: You need a read to call the river here, but it is easily a bluff into the overpair/TP hand you repped.
Hand #3: I always c-bet a paired board. I also always would bet this if I hold the 6 or 22. Rep that overpair.
Hand #4: I hate this situation. I give up after call on flop. The flop obviously didn't help us, and he called our flop bet. I may not even bet this flop since it is piss poor and we are OOP, but that is hard given the strength of out PFR. He is probably willing to call down with any mid/low PP here(see: PF limp/call). You need to value bet this guy, not c-bet him.
