4 handed, you must reraise PF IMO.......
Then you could know where you stood in the hand
This could easily be 99 playing this way.
-
Any read on this guy? Is 8xBB his standard opener? I doubt he raises AA-QQ this hard 4 handed.
-
Put him on a range pre-flop. If you are hoping to hit a set then you don't have good enough implied odds. If you weren't playing for a set then why fold the flop with your overpair?
-
I hate JJ in that spot :-(
-
just because you hate JJ in this spot doesnt mean you fold it. you havent defined any of their hands. i think a rereaise with your overpair here on the flop does this, and lets you play the hand better on later streets
-
Right, but if I reraise him to say 7 what do I do if he pushes, i pretty much have to call with the odds that are being layed. I didnt see the risk/reward ratio. Sorry.
-
rip what were your thoughts pre-flop? what were you thinking when you called? what was your plan for the hand?
-
Keep it small get off it didnt like the situation at all. OOP
-
but what were you hoping for post-flop? why call 8BB's cold pre-flop vs. a shorty?
-
Yes i see your point, fold preflop or reraise some if he comes over the top then im in a trickey situation I felt this was this best option :(
-
My point is this...If you decide you're probably playing for set value then you are making a mistake. If you aren't playing for a set then you got a great flop. Don't fold.
