Flush over Flush problems

Lately it seems when my flushes complete, I am constantly running into higher flushes and it's costing me big. Here's a couple hands that cost me my stack, I'm wondering if these are hands I should've been able to get away from, or is this just a part of variance?

The second hand IMO seems to just be a part of variance, but should I have been able to get away from hand 1?

Just flat call on river hand 1...

Chasing this draw made sense though, correct? I agree I should've flat called, as played though I really didn't put him on a flush. His raise on the turn is a strange play.

Eh I dont know about chasing an 8 high flush draw with the 2, hands like this always get me in more trouble then good. Say he has 108 or 98 stuff like this.

Ive seen players raise flush draws on the turn. It wasn't played that badly on ur part though you just tried repping the flush for more value and got screwed. It happens.

Thanks for the heads up. After this hand I started being quite a bit more concious of others drawing when I'm on a weak flush or straight draw. The bit about these hands getting one in more trouble than good couldn't be more true..

Yeah if your against decent players who will only call with a better hand just check call the river, unless ur against ur typical donk who calls with a weak ace on the river then u can bet them for value .
