5/10, a bluff thats never a bluff

UTG is a TAG ive started to see recently, but no reads. MP is a solid TAG that im playing with on a few of my tables, but we havent had any big pots. i think he won a EPT event last year too, but hes not really the average tourney donk.

i was thinking MPs range on flop is pretty wide and there arent many hands he can play back at me with at that he would raise on this flop. sometimes he might have AA-KK here that he thought was a good idea to slowplay against the PFR, but usually its not a 3 raising on such a dry flop.

This sure looks funny... what do you typically flat call with in CO 6-handed vs. a raise and call? Nothing with a 3 in it certainly... 99 TT AQs?? KQs???

My WFG is that your line will look bizzare to TAG opps as well, and if they are suspecious they will call you down, and if they are weak they will fold.

im repping a hand that wants to get money in the pot

i like the leadout size because it sets up your 3bet to put him in a spot on a dry board instead of making your 3bet auto push. it gives you some room for a move without committing to it on the flop. you can still get off the hand if he comes back.

the key to this line is having someone on your left that is going to allow it to happen on his button. if your CO seat button or blinds are raising a lot after limps for squeeze plays this just won't work and good players look for those spots. in that case, you swap in limps w/ AA-QQ and play for big pots fast on flop.

button w/ 170BB usually gets it through aggression, so it might be tough to do often enough to make the call worthwhile w/ him on your left. button read is really important here.

smooth-calling is scarier and sets up stacks getting ai by river and screams 88.

but maybe they know u know they know this etc...

just seems like smooth-call would be scariest line possible.

I think trip 3's is believable enough. Hero had pot odds and position before the flop, so I don't think any two is out of the question. Especially if hero is known to be capable of splashing around with odd hands.

Are stacks deep enough for an 88 bluff line to hold maximum equity the way the hand is playing out? By overcalling the flop you set up an MP turn bet where the pot is $600 and he has $800 behind.

I like too and I 've started to do this more and more against bad players who love minraising these flops and they almost always fold.
