I don't see the point in calling the flop. If he had JJ, you could have gotten more out of him. If he has you beat on the flop - fold. So I uess the only option I would have explored would be to raise. Try to get it all in on the flop, besides, your raise is only potting it. ($130 pot vs $160 bet).

we need to know what villian is min re raising with.
does he raise trip 4's, does he have something like 77+, or the nut flush draw or 53/65 clubs.
once you figure this out the way to play the flop is easy.
a read would be nice.

Well of course. But then again if I had a read I wouldn't have made this thread in the first place, would I? :roll: Not trying to be an asshole or anything, I'm just pointing out the fact that often we will be acting against unknowns and we need standard lines.

I think I'm with Drew here, get all in on the flop before scare cards to either beat us or kill our action hit, paying off 22 and random 4's in the process.

call flop lead turn. 3bet/pushing flop folds worse hands imo that may pay a turn bet off (Q obv sucks)

What about the merits of a check raise here? We can fake a missed flop, probably get a mid pp to bet behind us and see if its obvious a 4 is out there.

There are an awful lot of cards that suck though, basically all clubs and all broadways? I'm thinking that if the villain is capable of laying down TT+ to a flop 3-bet then he's probably going to be scared of any broadway card that doesn't fill him up.

I like this idea very much, I can see a mid pp betting out and perhaps a draw or another pp calling that bet, allowing us to get lots of cash in if we're ahead.
