i voted yes
Third option should be, "I had to google yuengling to figure out what the hell it was."
Pennsylvania beer. We started getting it in NC a couple years ago.
I've heard some mythical shit about Yuengling. Another forum I used to frequent had a guy from Georgia who was absolutely bugshit about it, and would drive long ass distances just to get some Yuengling. Myself, I've never had it, but I can point you to some good beer.
If you ever find yourself in the Bluegrass, try to find a bar that serves Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. Basically it's beer that has been brewed in bourbon barrels for a few months and has a distinct taste of bourbon, but it's definitely a beer. Very strong taste, for a man who loves brew :)
As for Yuengling, the positive rumors about it make it a yes. Actual experience is a "?" from this guy, but I would like to hear how it measures up.
My roommate lives and dies by the stuff. I enjoy it.
never had it,didn't vote, I like TEN PENNY ALE ,good stuff!!

Its a good beer. Its quite heavy, and I can rarely drink more than 2 without feeling very full.
Its not very good as a get-fucked-up beer. We got a keg of it once, and it was yummy, but even with 20somethin people, no one could drink more than 2-3 beers, and a lot got wasted.
they have yuengling light !
Alright, cool, I voted no because I like voting in polls and I wanted to balance out your 'yes' vote.Quote:

fat tire is good too. i went to yellowstone national park over the summer and got it there, i haven't seen it in va.
my brothers freinds own a liqour shop, they sell it there. Good shit.
I grew up in Yuengling country, it's the oldest brewery in America! In central PA, you ask for the bartender for a lager and they give you a Yuengling. It's like the code. I think it's a much better beer than Bud/Coors/Miller/Corona/etc. for the same price. Whoever said it's too heavy is crazy. It's a lager just like all those other crappy beers, but it's darker in color and has a little more flavor. I'm a micro-brew man, living on the west coast in micro-brew heaven, but I still vote yes.
my brother says it's really goot
I voted no. Go ahead and try it but it's only moderately better than a budweiser. Let the flames begin...
Flat tire is good
Great Lakes Brewing (midwest not east coast but should be available) is the best micro on the east half IMO. No, I'm not regionally biased.
Voted yes, as I enjoyed a few glasses of it this weekend. But it's just a decent, cheap beer. It's nothing to get excited about.
Todd
From the sounds of things they might, just might, acutally brew real beer down there. Come up to NS for some good stuff.
I saw it made a cameo in the movie "Invinceable". Good enough for me. I'd drink it if it was sold here, but then again I used to drink Stag and Natural Light all the time.
<---------------------------------------FTW!!!!!
Fat Tire is excellent
I haven't had yuengling yet. I will put it on my list to try!!
I was gonna have some Spaten for the first time last weekend but the tap was out at the bar..heard it's damn good too.
The lager is tasty, but the Optimator is the shit!!!
It's pretty strong, though. Two quart steins will make you feel pretty good.
It has a thick and kinda sweet flavor. By far my favorite!!!!
We generally stick to the cheaper beer. Keystone, busch light. And if we feel like expending ourselves well upgrade to bud light...

I'll stick with Guinness or Oatmeal Stout. I like to eat my beer. I also like my beer warm. That's how real men drink beer. Amarite? Guys? Who's with me?........chirp chirp......chirp chirp
Rogue Shakespeare Stout, Great Divide Yeti Stout, Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout... yuuuuuuuuuum.Quote:
