So who's going to be in C-bus?
Not this longhorn.
Though I do want you to win; GO OSU?!???
Muck Fichigan..
no, fuck that...
Fuck M*ch*g*n
i was going to come over and tailgate that day, but my brother wants me to go to the notre dame game with him.
its a dilema. i think as long as the games arent at the same time ill go watch notre dame, but if they overlap im coming to columbus instead.
Do we have any Michigan or OSU alumni?
You know I'll be there. Tailgating Friday night in my brother-in-law's RV down at the stadium and not sleeping until Saturday night. I probably won't remember a damn thing. Hopefully, I won't get killed in the rioting after the game.
did I hear that FTR is buying tix for everyone?
I live in columbus
OSU eats my ass
I was born in Newark and have family in Granville.Quote:

Go Buckeyes!!!!
Grew up in Zanesville. My mom and dad are alumni and so is my brother-in-law. For those that are wondering why didn't I go there, well my grades sucked so I went to University of Akron because they had open enrollment.
GO BUCKS!!!!!
HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS
On 1460 today they hyped it as the biggest game in Buckeye history. I initially laughed but... maybe so? For sure, if they close this out and win it all people will call this one of, probably the best team ever, and Troy probably already has best QB evaarr locked up (which given where he started is UNREAL).
That whole Nat'l Championship game is lost on OSU nation already?Quote:

beating Michigan > big ten > national title. Your question indicates a clear misunderstanding of the rivalry.
titles are just gravy. Every big ten fan already knows the best team in our league is the best team in the country (OK, maybe not the year NW won the Rose Bowl).
Sure thing.Quote:

Not sure what a couple fight songs have anything to do with it, but what the hell:

Hopefully they won't look past Northwestern and Indiana...

I wanna go back to Ohio State
To old Columbus town,
To the stadium to hear the band,
By far the finest in the land,
I wanna go back to Ohio State
To old Columbus town,
I wanna go back,
I gotta go back,
To Ohio
Ohio, Ohio
The hills send back the cry [O - H!]
We're here to do or die [I - O!]
Ohio, Ohio
We'll win the game or know the reason why!
And when we win the game, we'll buy a keg of booze!
And we'll drink to old Ohio,
'Til we wobble in our shoes!
Ohio, Ohio
We'll win the game or know the reason why!
Fnord, you told me to put my money where my mouth is. I am awaiting your response.Quote:

Looks like OSU is up 14-0 over NW, also with 9 minutes left in the first quarter.

I guess Ohio State would be favored by a lot less if the game was in Michigan this year...
how does a sportingbet noobie interpret those odds?
Isn't ~3 points given to the home team? So we could assume at a neutral facility OSU is -4, and at Michigan they would be -1?
-7 (the spread) is the important part. I means if Ohio State wins by 7 then the game is a push. Pretty standard.Quote:

So at bodog you pay $5 juice, but at pinnacle paying $12 for -6.5 means your bet wins if Ohio State wins by 7 (you could probably buy that 1/2 a point at bodog for less than $7).
Interesting. I would definately take Michigan with the line being set at -7, even with OSU's remarkable run of covering the spread in the last year or so. These teams have a knack for playing some really tight games and I have a feeling that this saturday will not be an exception to that.

Wow, Shembechler's death is shocking....... This is gonna have a huge impact on the game.
For those of you outside the U.S., not familiar w/ the rivalry, Bo Shembechler, the greatest coach in Michigan history who, along with former OSU coach Woody Hays, made the UofM/OSU rivalry the biggest rivarly in college football, died today of heart failure.
It's just shocking that he passes away the day before the biggest UofM/OSU game ever.

FYP. Don't think you can call it the biggest game period since there's not a national championship on the line (even though the consensus is that the winner of this game will go on to win it)Quote:

2nd best game of the day, imo.
Beating Michigan is bigger than winning the National ChampionshipQuote:

Sorry bout that. Friends came in from out of town, started drinking at 8:30am. I was lost in a drunken haze. The cell phone lines were all fucked up. I had a hard time getting ahold of anyone all day.Quote:

I was just thinking about this. 06 Buckeyes = best college football team of all time? If they win the national championship, I think you could make a good case for it (or at least put them in that historical-elite echelon).
No team has knocked off three #2's in one season, ever.
to be safe go with best team of our era/lifetime ish, but yes., if they win they compare with the best. It would help if Wisconsin goes to a good bowl and beats a team from the SEC to make the overall big ten look a little better & Michigan needs to beat whoever they play - right now you can't really knock OSU but people will still say the SEC is much tougher, they couldnt' have gone unbeaten there, yadda.
It's possible. They're the best in everything except defense where they're a close second to the VT Hokies.Quote:

losing to Ohio State > losing to Oregon State
Best two teams need to play for a natl championship. Why does Mich have to go through a "playoff" vrs OSU but teams like Notre Dame and USC get a pass becuase they lose to someone else or are in a different conference?
Besides, the greatest rivalry in college football on the greatest stage in college football. That's too ballin' to pass up.
the BCS is forked
go Notre Dame (this week)
