1 - looks good, although I do think you're often ahead on the river...but would want a read to value bet/shove.

2 - seems ok. usually I'd check/call the flop, and bet more on the turn - maybe 3/4 pot.

also I usually raise to 5 pre flop after a limp, especially oop, but could see possible benefits to less.

1: raise more preflop, shove/check river is both fine I guess.
2: raise more preflop, check/call flop. As played bet close to pot at turn/river.

Hand 2: I think anyone who calls $8 here calls $12. I think I would just pot it.

On hand 1 i think the check behind is good... it looks like a pair and a straight draw. He's probably a check raise kind of guy since he obviously missed a check raise on the flop.

Or he's retarded, but we'll assume he's not utterly stupid.

With 4 to a flush how tricky can we get? Our opponent may call with a worse heart so we might as well get value by actually making a standard size bet.

With 4 to a flush how tricky can we get? Our opponent may call with a worse heart so we might as well get value by actually making a standard size bet.

I'd just rather take a more aggressive line then a check/call. It was more that call I don't like.

I usually check here on hand 1 as well. Then again, I'm also the kinda guy to call OP's shove with two pair....
