hidden nuts on draw board...

Villain is tight-passive post flop, 30/5 stats, but I have seen him cbet. When he fired on the turn I figured a good one pair hand is most likely. I have a standard tag/slag image.
I don't know about him, but seems like lots of tight players would toss one pair to a turn shove, but I thought if I call and the river is a non-club he calls every time.

What do you think? Relatedly, is the turn a good semi-bluffing spot if I had say A:club: x:club:?

If he's tight-passive why not raise the flop? At the very least you could check the turn for a free card.

I would probably raise to 55 and hope that he would check the river if a club fell.

I could be off on when to raise vs call on draws, but I thought I might be able to float (maybe not a good board/opp for this?), and I wouldn't want to be blown off my draw if he actually gets over protective with AA, KK or AK.

So if you have KQ/AK/AA and an in-line taggish player calls you on the flop then raises small like that on the turn, are you folding?
I don't know if I would...probably unless I had a read, I mean it looks like how some play a set.

I feel like calling and raising a river is better. It just feels weird raising to 55 when you have 35 left. But it feels worse pushing IMO, if he's tight i think it's likely he folds. Even if a scare card comes on the river, like a club, i feel like you're getting more value vs the AK/KQ/AA hands.

I do feel like this is a good spot to push with Axc's

If you dont hit on the turn and your opponent checks, are you betting?

As played I push here against a passive player and probably call against an aggressive one. Reason being that the passive player probably has a stronger hand and as played I dont think he is folding if we push this turn so we might as well get it in now.

minraise is the least you can do. he prob has a nice hand and you want stacks in there

shoving is sexy too

Hmm so there's not an obvious play I guess. I mean ya I want his stack going in so raising seems logical, but it's not like I know how much he likes top pair facing a turn raise with no flush possible. Not a lot of "solid" players do...
But also he was passive for the most part so maybe he's more likely to talk himself into calling. Anyway I ended up waiting til the river, kinda luckily a blank, and he thought two seconds and called with AK.

btw andy- If he checked a blank turn I woulda bet because I had seen him do that with like A5o after cbetting a missed flop, plus my image is solid. otherwise I don't know.
