Two wierd turn spots - line check?

This hand was interesting, villain was 31/13 or so, halfway decent but not good. I thought I'd call the flop raise and re-evaluate the turn. Pretty bad turn card though and he made another sucker bet which made me think he was reeling me in so I folded. Thoughts?

Villain in this hand is a donk but no real reads. Do I bet here and call a push, just shove myself? Check behind? Not sure what to do.

Hand one looks good. You could very easily be against a set or two pair, and still have to worry about whatever he decides to bet on the river.

Hand two, this is weird, but I would bet about $30 to charge a flush draw, stop a bluff on the river, and then take a free showdown. If he goes all-in, then you'll have to make a judgement about the types of hands he would make this play with. I may fold absent a read on his play.

Min-raises scare me, so I don't think folding in the first hand is bad.

In the second, if he's a donk, I'd just push. Checking behind seems bad - there are too many cards that can hurt you on the river.

In hand 2, I think you should do to villian what hand 1 villian did you do! Bet like 1/2 pot. You are getting reverse implied odds here, so consider folding to a river spade.

This is one reason why I don't like to ALWAYS bet 3/4+ pot... because when you really want to bet less it stands out.

What confuses me about hand one is what hand is betting the turn that weakly?

Hand 1:
I'd rather re-pop Villain on the flop and fold to the push (if it comes). This is the perfect flop to make villain define his hand, the only decent draw is QJ, if he pushes you can lay it down and feel confident he had you beat. If he calls, he's probably holding a draw or a 1-pairish hand. Either way, if you then check the turn, more than likely villain will check behind and you may get a cheap showdown. If villain still bets on this turn after increased action you can lay it down confidently.

Hand 2: Fine.

1) I'd call turn and prob c/f river unless I improved.

2) I'd definitely bet here, something like 40 and call a push obv.
