100NL, Overpair no goot?
Villain is standard seeming 18.5/6.5/1.9 tagg over a few hundred hands. I'm having a hard time placing him on a hand but at the same time, I don't know what he could possibly be doing that with that I'm beating.

i would reraise his flop c/r since that would help to determine whether he has 10-x/a set (sometimes 10-9). You said he was a TAG so i would expect him to fold TP and shove a set. That way you don't have to call two more bets to get to a showdown. I would say at this limit almost all players will fold a 10-x hand. Basically you save yourself probably $10 on the turn and probably the rest of your stack on the river by 3 betting the flop.

Fold. Looks like a set to me, possibly a turned str8. I don't see any need to 3-bet the flop in position and only an unlikely draw on the board.

Not saying I 3-bet flop here but an agressive decent villian can raise your "c-bet" with any pair or draw, since likely this flop missed your high cards.
On the other hand re-raising here just tables your overpair, and if he's REALLY good he'll just push over anyway.
On the balance, I guess 3betting is best, because there are so few good cards on the turn.

I don't like a flop 3-bet because it causes AT/KT/JT hands to fold, and that's all you're beating here, besides a strangely played A8s/98s/87s. A flop call is cheap and lets you re-evaluate on the turn. Honestly I think the turn is close, a lagg would definitely bet here with AT/KT/JT, but given this guys stats, I think it's a fold.

The reason i don't like calling the flop raise is because many cards can still come that can significantly weaken your overpair, (A, K, T, J, 6, etc). With the board connected like this (12 "straight" cards in theory), and opponent likely holding an A or K to his TP (If he has TP) villians range is drawing pretty heavily. I want to win it now or find out that i am behind, also now. probably raise to $45 and save half my stack if he shoves.[/list]

Although we are favored to beat TP hands like A-10, K-10, J-10. Do we get another bet out of these hands if we check the turn and an 8, 6, or J hits (J-10 might lead on a J). I think our action is shut down on the flop if any of the several scare cards hit for both ours and villians hands. IMO losing ~$30 on flop is better than cry calling $20 on turn and $35-40 on river if we just call the flop. In this spot i do want to define my hand (strong, overpair minimum) and price out SD and take it down so i don't have to play any more streets OOP.
