On Pstars there is a player I see who usually 12 tables 5-6 different limits simutaneously. Normally he will be on 1-2 NL100/200/400/600/1000 tables. Is there a strategy to this, does he just have really good game selection? I'm lost.

At those stakes it doesnt make a ton of sense really. I can understand playing maybe 2 limits at a time if you are in the transition of moving up OR are practicing very good game selection. However, if you can beat 400nl with good game selection, there is no reason to play 100nl because even at a great game the potential earn just isnt enough to make it worthwhile. Multitabling across 5 limits just doesnt make any sense when it is below 1knl. Sometimes you will see players like CTS doing it from anywhere to 1knl to 20knl, and that makes much more sense because of the fact that not all the games at those stakes are worth it, so the game selection factor comes into play a lot. Again, at the lower stakes there are enough games available that you shouldnt need to play across that many levels and if you do you are losing money.
I play across all the midstakes (1/2 through 3/6) limits at PS. Mostly for game selection.
I rarely play at lower levels than my current level, but maybe I should start doing this.Quote:

Cause if we're looking at overall table looseness, and players to the flop and such. I feel like for me, at $100NL on interpoker, its a given that most the lower tables might have more people to the flop.
At every table, I try to identify where the money will come from, and which players are going to give me trouble. Once I can't identify a definite source of income at the table, I usually leave and look for another table.Quote:

I like to play on two or three tables at once. I have a low limit table open and a middle/high limit table open. I can get all of my looseness and "gamble" out on the cheaper table, which leaves the other table free for me to play sensibly on. I get the best of both worlds then.
