I was in a pokerstars $10,000 sit n go, here i was in middle position and was dealt Ac8c, I know its not hard to win with the nuts, but i wanted to see how I did getting money out of it, blinds were 10/20, everyone starts with $1500, drew was 2 seats to my left and at the time i had about $1000 and he had around $7000

hard to say. the nuts tend to come so infrequently, you'd be better focusing your play on your marginal hands, and plug those leaks rather than worrying about extracting maximum value from the nuts.
how you did all depends on what the villain held. if he had a set or two pair, you may have missed a stack, but who the hell knows?
dont overanalyze the nuts. worry about the in betweeners.
