I flopped a third 6 on a 68J board with 2 hearts. turn was a 7, river was a 7 hearts, completing flush. I got stacked by 88- normal or...?

Standard. Post the HH if you've got it.
preflop action is most important in determining whether i will go broke or not and stakes to some extent.
Below 200nl i dont fold sets.
After 200NL you fold sets? It sounds pretty weird unless there really is a straight and a flush possible or some really scary board.
if i limp UTG or something like that and flop bottom set and the action goes mad on a pretty drawless board then bottom set no good a lot.Quote:

set over set is so rare, of course you go to stacks...on a dry board. flushy or 4-str8 board, you may slow down, but i doubt you should fold unless you have a good read that villain chases draws.
At $50NL I never fold sets. People can go crazy with too many different hands (2 pair, TPTK, overpair, draws) for me to lay them down. Sure I get stacked by straights/flushes/over sets, but I'd need a heck of read to lay it down. Something like a solid player raising preflop, then c/r big on AT7 board (if I have TT). Though even then I don't think I could do it.
