opponent is a 25/20 over 400 hands. I have been three-betting him semi light... nothing that noticible though. My hand is completely face up at this point, i think. He's capable of bluffing, i'm not sure how good a player he is, but he seems to know what he's doing.

Comments on all streets. I feel like i should've just checked the river.

also note that he tanked the flop and turn, river was a quick push.

should probably check the river and fold if he makes a pot sized bet.

what about checking the turn? i don't know much about keeping pots small. but i've read around that it could be a good idea to check the scare card. the turn is a very scary card - it gives a possible flush and a possible straight.
the problem with checking though is that he could read it as a sign of weakness and he might put you on a hand like AK and then try and push you off it.

Why the weak river bet?

I almost just want to check/push the turn. It's gonna be really hard for him to call a push and the board is to scary for me to even account for a big bluff in his range on the turn/river. In other words it's obviously plus EV to check/push the turn while it's hard to make the calculations if u take a lead out line.

I think you made a good fold. It looks to me like he turned the flush, and just waited for your third barrel before raising you. But yah, like others said, I think I would throw a check somewhere in there, either on the turn or river.

I would generally check call that turn, and check the river no matter what villain does on the turn. Probably check-call the river, if he checked through the turn, and check fold to a substantial river bet if he bet the turn as well.

Tough spot OOP. I don't like betting the turn. I definately don't like c/r'ing the turn all-in, all you're doing is folding out hands you already have beat and getting smoked by hands that beat you. Good river fold though, he can't be making this bet hoping you'll fold. But that river bet is just wrong man.

Of course, but with a pot this big and a board like this does it really matter that much?

When we check the turn I am immdiately putting opp on a pp lower than ours but above 6, or sadly something like AQs+hearts. With the low PP he's going to have to bet something like 45 which makes the pot over 100. That is a big fucking pot.
I'm really torn whether to c/r all in or not, because I don't want to face a river bet because I'm afraid I'll have to call with my underrepped hand.
I think this hand i way more intereting than the amount of replies would represent.
Then again, if we check call there's pretty much a 0 possibility something we're beating is betting the river, besides on a bluff.

I don't think I quite understand you, but are you saying it doesn't matter if we're beat or not here when deciding if we should put our whole stack in?

This guy is definitely someone who'd bluff the turn if i check. Sure if i bet the hands most of the hands i'km beating are folding and the hands i'm losing to are calling... blah blah blah. But i feel like i need to actually define my hand here.

I was just saying on a draw heavy board with a big pot what you want to win the hand as quickly as possible because it is hard to give ur opponent bad odds to chase any hand. Here, we have a draw so that reasoning is flawed so u have the right to now understand.
I was just saying that i like c/r the turn all in because that makes our decision a hell of a lot easier because on the turn our range for him is so narrow and we're going to have a hard time folding.
idk that logic is probably flawed too. This hand confuses me a lot because check calling makes me completely lost on the river.

the river bet is very bad I think if you make it intending to fold.

I'd raise this river bet with any two in villain's spot it just looks so damned weak. I like it if you think it'll induce a bluff though.

Yea, there are not many hands that you beat that are calling this turn. Second, you have the Ah, why not hope for another cheap card. And third, for pot control.

A turn c/r is tempting b/c of the Ah. Hands that might fold that have us beat include sets, two pairs, a str8.

I'm wondering when (or even if) a river blocking bet is ever good.
