Congrats, way to go X man!
Impressive - you haven't even been there very long!!!
Actually, I only play these for fun. Nothing to brag about. I just think it's funny that I'm on the board after only 6 of these tourneys. Everyone else has been playing since January.
The stakes are only $6 + rebuys for the first hour + $6 add-on at the first break (some games are $10 rebuys + add-on). No high stakes games anywhere in Tamarindo. The fields are only 20 to 30 players each game. Someone just brings their home poker chips to one of the local bars and they spread sheets on the dining tables. No dealers. Each player takes turns dealing. It's like a home game. Twice a week, every week.
And these are true donkaments. 70% of the players have no idea what they're doing (half of those are tourists that we never see again). Of the 30% that have a little experience (from home games, I presume), 10% don't know how to play rebuys and 10% let themselves get felted by the blinds. The remaining 10%, I have been playing with long enough to know how they play.
I need to fly down to San Jose a couple times a month, I think. There was more poker action there.
Never complain about easy money X-man! I only play low limit MTTs on Pacific but they're as soft as hell so I'm happy there.Quote:
