this hand is killing me.. (900$ pot)

ok so im at my local casino playing 100-200NL. blinds 2-5$. Im sitting on about 700$ in chips and this hand comes up. I get dealt KK in late position. Guy 3rd to act raises 3x BB to 15$, guy to his right calls, folded to me, I raise to 60$ total. Both of them call with some hesitation. flops comes out 9-10-j rainbow. First guy pushes 200$ in. second guy calls but doesnt go all in for his last 30$. I sit there for 5 minutes thinking.

what would you do with KK here? ill post results after I get some responses.

This is an easy fold.

My instinct would be you are looking at either AT and AJ (or both on same hand) and first guy is trying to take it down then with about a pot sized bet or you are looking at at least one set (most likely)

Guess it comes down to reads on the guys but given that the second guy has smooth-called the raise and the reraise and the frlop I'd be concerned and most likely toss my hand.

It is a fold because even though you would be getting close to even money on this call against the all in player, 3:1 ($200 into a $580 pot -
(6 outs [2 Kings, 4 Queens] = ~24%), there is still more money behind that can be bet into this pot by the player who is not all in. He could put pressure on you before you see both the turn and river cards. So, because you may only get to see the turn card you would then be wanting closer to 7:1 if you were going to call anticipating on seeing only 1 street.

Ok let me elaborate a little more.

My read on the first player, the guy that is opening the bets: sitting on 900$+ in chips, strong player capable of making moves.

second player: weak player, basically gambling when he plays.

My play: I call the flop bet of 200$. I figure with 400$ or so left in my stack its worth calling rather than moving all in. The turn card is another 9 so the board is 9-10-j-9. First guy checks, second guy goes all in for last 30$. I call, so does the first guy. river card is a 4 blank. first guy checks it down and i happily check behind him.

well? anyway, turns out first guy had Q9 and the second guy had AQ. I made a great call on the flop, even though i should have pushed all in to try to get the first guy off his hand.

So what happened next?

hehe well what happened next is he flipped over queen nine and showed me his trips that he made on the turn. I guess I should be glad he didnt push because I would have called a few more dollars but not the rest of my stack.

Usually a raise 12x the BB is enough to get a guy off queen nine off suit but this guy had a lot of chips. The other guy was just gambling all in with his open ended straight. They both needed my kings or an 8. Unfortunately he hit trip nines. I couldnt sleep last night wondering what would have happened if I pushed all in instead of flat called the 200 flop bet.. I think he would have layed and I would have won the pot. The only reason I didnt is because 400$ is a lot of money and I didnt want to give it away in case he actually did have trips(first guy). My instincts were correct and I made a good call. That nine on the turn is still killing me.

i wouldnt say i was scared to lose 400, i would say that there was a strong possibility he had trips and i didnt feel like throwing away the rest of my stack.

I don't see why you were worried about trip 9s. Just doesn't really seem to be a hand I would put him on, even in a loose live game. Since live games are usually 5x as loose passive I'd probably jsut shove it in on the flop and reload if i'm beat. You're going to see something like QJ a lot more than a set here I think.
