400NL AA oop line-check - 190BB deep

Villain like to limp and call raises pre-flop, but hasn't shown down anything that I've seen this session (he had >$1000 when I joined the table). His stats are 29/9/2.8 over a ton of hands. I have position on him at another table and I've been raising a lot pre-flop and I've raised his c-bets a couple times post-flop and gotten him to fold. He doesn't seem pissed, but he's definitely noticed.

Anything you do differently here?

Don't play at these stakes obviously, but why the check on the turn? Fearing KQ/22?

Even with those stats wouldn't he be re-raising pre-flop with KK/QQ to try and get rid of you with a hand like AK?

I don't play FR but I like your line.

I think you could find a weak fold on the river. It's rare to see someone float in multiway pots and it's rare to see floaters firing two barrels. Which means he's probably valuebetting, and he probably doesn't value bet this river with anything we beat. On the other hand we need to be ahead only like 25% of the time to make the call, but I don't really know if we are.

Either way it seems marginal, so perhaps we should look at other lines. Does anyone like a b/f on the river to get a call out of AK/suspicious Kx?

Figured I was way ahead (AK/Kx/JT/float) or way behind (KQ/22) and underepping my hand was the best way to get value from hands I was ahead of. I risked giving a free card to JT, which is meh.

Yeah, he def rr's KK/QQ pf. I'm just trying to get value from hands I beat.

its just that on river its likely that he would just check behind AK/AQ under PP,no? will he bet these. is a bluff more likely even tho he seems passive (PF may also be postflop).

only flush he could have is AQs, which fits. so i dont think we are ahead very often at all vs this particular opp.

also his bet is fishy, a larger bet=bluff or big hand but a 1/2 pot roughly bet=value, maybe?

River doesn't scare anyone. You can't fold here. I don't mind your line, if you feel villain has a solid calling range, and standard preflop 3 betting range, which would include AK, the biggest hand in his potential losing range you stand to lose value to by playing this so passively.

I think the board allows you to control the pot which is a perfect size for a one pair winner.

This sentence is a little confusing. AK is probably in his pre-flop 3-bet range, my bad. He might flat call with it for deception, but only a small % of the time. So you think I'm losing value by playing so passively if the best hand I beat here is KJ/AQ/JT?

I usually bet this river hoping to get paid off by a King that would check behind. This obviously doesn't allow JT to bluff, but i think you get looked up by a king always, and sometimes even a queen.

If he raises its probably a fold.

hes betting a Kx hand here a lot considering your line.

If you are gonna call $145 on the river, why not C/R $90 more to define his hand?

Personally with AA I hate getting to the river.
