Two table SNG in this forum or MTT forum?

I am looking for strategies for two table SNG's. Some sites I frequent treat two table and more SNGS as MTT's. So first I want to know if this is the correct forum for questions regarding two table SNG's and secondly where I might find strategy suggestions for them. I am guessing some adjustment in strategy will be required.

The rule of thumb (at least that I use) is that everything that falls under the Sng section in pokerstars fits in the Sng forum.

I dont recall any specific strategy posts for two table Sngs in here, there are bits and bytes in different posts but I dont think there is any complete strategy guide to it

Thanks for the replies! For the time being I will stick with my single SNG tight play approach for the first couple of blinds when I play the two table SNGs. I will post my stats after I play a sufficient number of them.

There isn't really anything special you have to do in 2 table SnGs except maybe play a few more hands in the early blind levels because chip accumulation is more important. In a one table SnG you can basically hang out and not play many hands at all until it's near the bubble and you're in push/fold. In a two table SnG, you can do that as much because you don't really wanna be at push/fold at a full table (once the final table is formed), so you try to accumulate chips earlier. Once you're at the final table, it's pretty basic. Top 4 get paid.

If you're looking to accumulate chips, you should be playing good multiway hands in position and seeing cheap flops. Bet orphan pots when the table obviously doesn't seem interested and get free chips. It's like a mini MTT :)

Well that's what I gathered back when I played two table SnGs. I love the things to death but was sad because once I got to the the $55s, they never EVER filled.

A few things to note for 2 table Sng

1. The payout is different, 4/18 as supposed to 3/9, which means that it is a bit harder to get ITM, which means a bit more risks

2. You need to adjust well from full table to short table to full table - A key part of 2 table Sng is the stage in which 10-13 people remain and blind stealing is a must

3. The final table is more of a push-fold mode especially if you play tournament, push-fold in a full table is very different then push-fold with 4 people

I think this is true apart from the 180-person tourneys which are really just unscheduled MTTs. You can get better advice in the MTT forum for these.

FT 90 player sngs are borderline, I'd post them in the MTT

OK so playing mutiway pot hands do you mean suited aces and connectors in position and maybe small pocket pairs(example 2's
'-5's late psotion)? I am guessing that's what you are saying, hmmm, interesting. I will take the advice to heart. I concur even though I have only played a few of these accumulating chips earlier does seem more important than in a single table SNG.
