Advice on playing casino pot limit games
A local casino here puts on cash games every day, 1-1 20bb minimum sitdown and 2-2 blinds 50bb minimum (UK pounds sterling) PL hold'em, where basically any player at the table can put on a straddle bet of double the BB to get position PF. At the 2-2 games one time apparently people kept doubling the BB blind until it reached 128 pounds, probably bigger than the average stack size. The manager mentioned that he might limit the number of times you can double to 5 after that happened... As you might imagine the action in general is pretty crazy, especially the 2-2 tables. I've only sat at the 1-1 though.
A few questions:
1. EP raises PF get called by 3+ people regularly because it's PL. With big PP, is it worthwhile to make the limp-reraise frequently?
2. There's no max buy-in. What's the minimum I should sit down with? Do I need to sit down with more than 100bb considering usually there's one or two people who ALWAYS put on the straddle?
3. What should I do if the straddle is put on to my right every time? The way they do it is, the seat to the left of the straddle is UTG. A lot of the time even if you try to double it again to 4 bb there's a good chance the initial blind raiser will bump it to 8... One time I asked to change seats so I didn't have to be UTG every damn hand.
4. How much should I value-bet good one pair hands? People are playing Q2o so often impossible-to-spot 2-pair hands win huge pots.
That's all I can think of for now.
