You are hoping he has QQ+ here. Bet $4 and push it all in to his re-raise...

Yeah you got to bet 3/4 pot or pot.

Yeah you shoulda bet more, but it doesn't matter too much. with that river you should c/c probably. If the river pairs the board i bet big.
-
I think check / call a small bet was fine. 88, A8s are the most likely hands that beat you I guess. A bigger bet on turn may have drove KQo away though... It was a lame turn bet and a lame turn call by him. Your river play is fine.

reraise preflop
as played check raise the flop
as played lead the the turn
as played lead river
-
I'd be raising and probably not ever folding
edit : err... (lol we're OOP!) I like C/R here.
Your hand looks like a weak 1 pair hand or a flush-draw. Villain will be betting big here with an overpair here all day.
This sux when villain checks behind w a bare flush draw himself but I think the quickest way to get the money in here is def CR.

raise preflop and this hand plays much diferently. and why are you betting $2.25 into a $5.25 pot on the turn? make a real bet and get some money in while you are ahead.
