Maybe my PF reraise should have been higher? I think the c-bet on the flop was decent even though I had nothing, it definately thinned the field. On the turn I hit so made a statement to that effect. By the river I was wondering what he had to still be with me. Potential straight from the Turn. Always possible he hit 2 pair or a set on the flop and slow played it. Decided I didnt want to commit anymore chips to a TPTK hand. How was my thinking?

i would've played this hand exactly as you did, except maybe would've made it .18-.20 pf, but, no big deal really. i'm sorry, my reply isn't very helpful. does anyone else recommend a different line here?

You've gone for a pot sweetening raise pf, one that will inflate the pot rather than thinning the field. With Ak I would rather get it heads up in position and in control. With the 2 callers in front I would raise to $0.30 or so. Hopefuly you are then against 1 opp and can c-bet with more confidence. As played I think c-betting 3 opps consistently will be a losing play. I would take the free card although others might disagree. Spiking the ace I would bet the turn and the river as well. The problem with passive opps is they don't tell you you're beat, so all you can do is bet your good hands when it seems likely you are ahead. TPTK is worth betting on this board I think. But hey I'm no expert ;-)

I raise to about .30 pf, minraising is really not going to do anything but sweeten the pot as pants said. Just check behind on the flop, your not trying to just thin the the field your trying to win the pot. Thats a somewhat coordinated board and you have absolutely nothing so just check and try to peel off a A or K. When the ace hits i bet 3/4 pot, and reraising if someone raises in front of me most likely to about 3x their bet. The river i value bet here for about 3/4 pot again, hes checked on every single street, he doesnt have much.

Yeah, PF was a mistake. I'm just getting used to the idea of reraising PF. After this hand I did a better job of it.

Good advice on the flop, my main thinking was that I'd been an aggressor PF, so make them think I still had a hand after. Probably a better move against less opps though.

raise the max pre flop that other players will still call. Here, you are looking at 10 - 15x the big blind.

As played: I check this flop, because you are facing 3 other players, one of whom will probably call your c-bet with a better hand. When the turn card comes, everything else seemd fine because you actually had something this time.

AK on the button... that's an insta-hardon.

Preflop: yeah raise more, I woulda done 18-2o myself. I like to get the money in good, but I also like seeing flops with AK. I wouldn't jump in with a $.50 raise in a pot-commit-the-donks rope-a-dope manuever; that move is for AA or KK (works well at these stakes, too).

Flop: I like the cbet. You were a strong pf aggressor, and you're bluffing with as many as 10 outs. It did scare out a couple. Turn was solid too; against the calling stations at these tables, there is no need to get tricky.

River: i would've bet here. You might get a small ace to call... and I don't think this guy is check-raising you. If he had a straight he'd likely have led out the river- either a weak bet (in the hopes that you'd raise) or a large one. The idea of checking a monster on the river and having their opponent (you) check behind is just too frightening, it rarely happens given the typical donks you're playing against.
