Slow play middle set on rainbow?

Villains unknown he just sat down so I have to reads, I'm laggy as usual. I don't slowplay much just cause I'm so loose I get paid off more if I bet, however I slowplayed here and I am wondering if it's ok in this type of spot.

Thoughts?

i don't get why you think it's bad, since it's not like you check big flops every time.
except on the turn, i like either 3bet smaller (possibly minimum) or just pushing.

I don't really understand the stack sizes since villain has bet more than his stack at the start. Is it all-in on the turn? If so job done. However if you are playing Laggy and C-betting a lot I like to bet the flop, especially if villain thinks you're getting out of line, the rest of the cash will go in easier on later streets.

There's no point in slowplaying if you're getting paid off easily. As said above, betting the flop makes it easier to get all the money in over the next two streets.

since opp has just sat down, he may not know that you have been out of line, and therefore probably doesnt know that he should be paying you off with marginal holdings, so a check behind on a very dry uncoordinated board isnt too bad, it lets him catch up a little.

I don't really understand why opp is check-raising the turn if you checked behind on the flop, so I would think maybe he picked up a flush draw on the turn and was going to let it check thru again, then decided to CR when you bet. That or he picked up 2 pr or had a hand already and is a perennial slowplayer.

Either way, a shove over the turn check-raise would seem to be best, as it doesn't look quite as strong as a pot committing/yet easier to call bet, and a draw that CRed will likely call the push anyways, as will the 2 pr hands, usually thinking you hit the K.

There is no simple answer

You play this hand against your opponents likely range, and how he would likely play that range. Your relationship is secondary, but often just as important. Does opponent have a tendancy to call with high unpaired hands preflop, and reraise pairs? Does your relationship with him influence this tendancy? Does he smooth call with 88-TT Preflop a lot? Does he ever smooth call JJ-AA?

How passive is the opponent? Will he check behind with TT, then give up when you bet the K, or will he call a pot bet on flop with TT, and not believe your second barrell when the K hits?

The way you play any hand and extract value has everything to do with the opponent, the way they play, and what they think of you and your lines.

After the fact when I registered more hands on villain he ran like 9/5 and in this pot he had KK. Against a major nit like this we still don't advocate a slowplay?

Don't blame yourself if he did.

As long as you check some flops when you'd like a free turn card, this isn't horrible.

Default should def be to bet though.
