87s in blind battle

Villain has stolen my blinds the last 4-5 orbits has a att to steal of 36%. His stats over 135 hands are 31/15.5/9.3 (his AF was actualy 15 when on my HUD when i was making this decision).

even a naked A may be enough to make this call, but your particular hand has no showdown value UI. I wouldn't mind if you were pushing, but you can't call this push with that hand.

i dont call this. Taking the free card is the best option here so you dont get stuck in these situations, especially on a paired board where villain can bluff easier.

if he's making a play that's more than enough. If he has an overpair it's a marginally bad call.

Just calculate pot odds.

I ran it through pokerstove the other day, i was getting 1.51:1 odds to call and against AK, and any pair excluding TT i had 1.7 equity or so.

So worst case scenario you are a is not even a 2:1 dog? I think calling is correctomundo.

Ya if hes doing this with AJ+ and any pocket pair, essentially just putting a move on my then i was getting about 1.4 equity with 1.51:1 odds making a call correct. I guess its just a matter of whether he would make a move on me here, and my initial reaction was that he could have been.

Well, worst case scenario is he has AdKd and you have 6 outs and he has a big redraw.

I think he might bet/3bet with that hand and not c/bomb it all in.

Surely his high AF has nothing much to do with this hand because we have 8 high?

i hate folding so i might call here but this looks like a fold- one of his most likely hands is a higher flush draw

Maybe it's just me but I much prefer calling preflop and floating the flop in these situations. I think that makes it easier to put your opponent to a tough decision unlike here where he has totally outplayed us

I'd probably just check back on the flop because

-he's a good aggro player who will be pushing or folding in response to your flop bet
-he probably has something pretty good to call your re-raise out of position
-he won't give you credit for the flush if you check the flop

Bet this flop for sure against shittier players who are calling your re-raise with tons of crap and are giving up most of the time on the flop, and if they don't give up they'll just float you out of position.
