hand 1: call river. how would you respond to a push?
hand 2: i fold this flop. not too sure about the river...if you're going to play it, you should definitely raise, since it looks like a blocking bet.

I probably fold the the flop c/r since all turn cards > 2 suck. Although, since it's a m/r, and some "decent" players do this with any two on a non-high card flop - I am not opposed to seeing what he does on the turn.

Since he checks, he probably has bupkis.... And river bet probably wants a call, so I guess raise it.

Hand 1.)
I really don't like the size of your bet on the turn. Its small enough that a call or a raise leaves you without much more information. Regardless, he raised. Given that, why would you want to reopen the betting on the river? You went from a 2/3 pot bet on the flop, to a 1/2 pot bet on the turn, flat called a raise, and then jam the river? Your line seems inconsistent.

I agree with your comments about the possibility of getting called by worse hands, I think 9,10 pays you off more often than two pair or a set. I dont think they pay you enough to make up for the -ev you have when you are jamming against a flush.

Why the 4BB raise?
Given the action, I fold to the flop minraise.
... I probably call the river too, if I am still around, busted draws are going to make that play often enough.

Hand 1, I flat call the river bet, I think he has the flush.
Hand 2, I sometimes lay down to the flop minraise and I sometimes play it the same as you.

Hand 1 -- call river

Hand 2 --*edit* boy my replies have sucked, misread again. just play 22 for set value here with limp/call

1) hand one, call, he definitely has the flush. When a 0.8 AF raises post flop, b-bye.

2) you only play 22 from UTG for set value, set it or forget it. Your out of position, any card he hits smokes you. What purpose does calling the raise and checking the turn do??

why would these hands check raise the turn (surely they wouldn't risk a free card to a 1 card flush draw)? why would these hands bet the river after you call the turn?
