Who cares if Hilton got out

Big deal. Sure, its messed up she got off easy but go back, fire who you have to fire, and fix the problem so you don't set a precedent.

I was trying to watch the news to maybe hear about oh I dunono...unimportant stuff like the G8 conference, taxes, AIDS, TB outbreaks. But all I get is people bitching about Paris Hilton for at least 3 hours straight - I'm not exaggerating.

And on top of all that, the news freaked out for at least 30 mintes while I was watching when Nicole Richie answered Letterman's question about possible jailtime with an embarassed little half-laugh.

This all disgusts me. It makes me hate someone, but I'm not sure who. Maybe the news, or the general public...i dunno.

Apparently, the stress from jail was making her have serious herpes break out that spread to her anus and was very painful.

I agree, too much focus on anna nicole's death, paris going to jail, jolie adopting lil poor kids, ect. However this is pretty important, not as important as the news makes it seem but still...

My sister was locked up for armed robbery. She wasnt even on the scene, she took no part in it, but she was with the people earlier in the day and then later. Cops had her in a room interogating her for 8+ hours without any food or drink. She "confessed." I think it was her telling me that she was locked up with a woman who got caught stealing a <$1 comb. They had to do their time, and most people would agree they didnt truly deserve it. Now this rich, white, famous-for-nothing ,blond whore gets locked up and the next day gets out. For a "rash?"

I think my biggest problem with the way the media is handling it is that they are simply focusing on the wrong thing. They are reporting it like a tabloid instead of centering their reports on the underlying social issues at hand.

I sorta see what youre saying, but I honestly think shes just not hot. There are a ton of girls who if they had the money could look really "hot." Shes a product of expensive beauty products and services. Also marketing, shes a perfect example, along with britney spears (post 17 years old), of how a enough marketing dollars can trick us into wanting something we dont. Why does everyone hate her so much? Its just a bandwagon thing. Everybody hates her fucking guts, even the media, yet they keep crawling back to her. Its a mutual parasitic relationship.

But still, why does everyone hate her? All these people come on TV and say they hate her so much and blah blah blah but all they do is talk trash. But they ALWAYS talk about her. In my much more boring, untelevised life, people who spend that much time talk about someone just end up looking jealous and bitter. If you hate her so much, get off her damn nuts!

Ok sure, she may not have many great qualities about her, but she is still a human being who deserves a little intrinsic human respect. All of this tabloid trash on the news sets a bad example for the country. Most of the people don't even know her personally so how can so many people trash one fuckedup girl?

I think people are sick of her because the media shoves her down our throats, like we're supposed to *care* about what this bitch does. She, along with others (Anna Nicole Smith for a good example), are the freaking LEAD STORIES on cnn.com all the time. C'mon, there's got to be a bigger story out there than those two bimbos.

The mainstream media is bullshit. Focus on stories that matter, and tell us the TRUTH about those stories. I look at CNN with a grain of salt. Each time before I check that site I think to myself, "okay, so what do THEY want me to know about today? What do THEY want me to think is important today?"
