villain was (27/10/0.68) and seemed to steal some pots post flop.
On the river I can only put him on AA/KK (or a bluff).
Thinking of the hand again, I think I should have 3 bet PF to about $5-6 (that min re-raise from the blind was very weak). At least I would have been PF what hand he had and fold unsless I hit the flop.
Afterwards on the turn a call might have been better, which would have
allowed me to call the river and see his min re-raise hands, no?

0.68TAF dosen't bluff the river. Why did you check the flop when checked to, i bet close to pot and fold to a raise there from this type player. If he calls the flop go for a cheap showdown.
Also raiseing the turn is bad bad bad, your bloating the pot. You WANT to show this down right?

Pre-flop is fine - I'd bet the flop though like Shake said. If he sticks around just try to show it down, he's either being stubborn with AK,AQ or he's on some sort of dumb slowplay.

Not sure about raising the turn, if I do it it's with the intention of checking the river behind.

Actually, my intention on the turn was to steal the pot as I could see him c-betting the turn with AK/AQ.
For me the trouble with betting the flop would be that he could check-raise with AK and I would have build a big pot if I call.
BTW, would you just call the turn and call a half pot bet on the river is a brick comes?

I steal fell that I should have 3 bet PF, would that have been a very bad play?

You'd have been 4-betting pre-flop. To be honest I don't think it's wise. He either has AK or JJ+; the only way you can really find out is by potting the flop. As played, fold the river - you're never ahead.

If that was the case you'd be better off trying to steal with drawish hands or air.. now you're turning a legit hand into a bluff.

I see you guys' point. I guess every hand that calls my raise will be a favorite to win ... now if the river was not a Q/K/A and non spade, would you call that bet?
