AA OOP facing weak raise

Made to order 3 bet on that flop? Then c/f strong turn bet if called?
As played, fold turn? Pretty dry board for him to keep plugging away.

Wait a minute, you play the whole hand passive enough for him to bet into you on all 3 streets and you're not calling his all-in on the river here? This reaks of KQ.

Against known nits you can get away here, and the PS $100NL games are full of the buggers. idk though, I still probably spew all in on the turn and reload.

Leading the turn for ~1/2 pot and folding to a raise is an option, but you're still left in a tough spot on the river if he flat calls. Many players will raise a set there though, so you can get away.

you simply can't play aces this passive. $4 preflop, and bet the flop harder. Re-raise on the flop, fold to a shove if the player is nitty, call a laggier/worse player.

you bet half the pot on the flop, it looks like a weak cbet I might even make a re-raise like that on a dry flop thinking you missed. Then you check turn, I assume I was right maybe you have AK, let's say I did hit the queen, very easy for me to then bet 2/3 pot, a normal bet.

The river kinda seems like a fold, but mainly because we have no idea what villain has -- we played this hand like we had JJ, 1010, not AA.

I actually don't mind this line vs. an aggro if you call the river. I also like a turn c/r push. I'm never folding without a read that this guy's a nit.

I've been upping my pf raises to this lately as it seems to get called the same amount as $3. I always did $3 cause that's the standard raise at PS $100 for most players.

Or AQ or any of three flopped sets. But I realize my weak pf/flop play makes it very hard for me to have any clue which and play the rest of the hand well.

So if I had led out flop like $7-8 and still been reraised lets say to $18-$20 now which line do we take?

3 bet / call & lead turn 1/2 pot / call and cr turn

PRF is fine. reraise flop, you'll know.

As played, I pay off on the river (after gulping hard)

I dislike 3 betting the flop OOP in spots like this:

- Encourages opponent to play correctly
- Put us in a tough spot if they flat call the 3 bet
- I don't like putting ~1/2 my stack in then folding.

That said, I've been playing holdem a while now and I still sometimes feel lost in these situations. I just hate being the guy paying off with the overpair :(

c/bomb the turn if he raises your flop bet

I'd raise more preflop and bet more on the flop. As played I probably lead the turn again for like $25 and dump it if raised. If he calls I'm shutting down and probably calling a small river bet.
