Villain was solid. My image was tight/aggressive.
This line seemed a lot like a set 77 or 22. Standard fold right? Even with 2 pairs on the river?
Should I have folded on the turn already?

don't see how you can fold the turn.

Pot odds are too good to fold the river I think unless you think you see a set 70+% of the time. That comes down to what you mean by Villain was solid. I think unless you have a specific read maybe you should call.

It's really easy, there is this neat little button that says "fold" on it. You put your mouse over it then click, just once, not twice nor even three times.

Got a read? How'd he get his stack? Against a tight-ass player I think the turn is a pretty easy check. Against loose/passives bet/fold works nice. Against the more aggressive sort you're going to have to look this up.

In FTR classroom, I see an easy fold. however, in the real world I have to admit I see trouble for myself getting off this hand, dep. on the opponent. Against tight solid player, I'd grumble and fold. Q makes it hard. Focus area for me.

hmmm certainly seems like a set, but would he play two pair this same way? i could see him showing a7s or a6s maybe a2s. I think i call this river but i guess it really depends on your read. For me, i would have to have a solid read to laydown top two pair on a no str8 no flush board. Unless you can really pin him to 77 or 22, i would call.

Actually my read was that villain seemed to value play most often. He already had a big stack when I joined the table.
When I saw his call on the flop I started to fear 77. Now thinking about the hand agian, my 50% bet on the turn seemed quite weak, so he could min raise to test me pretty easily. His river bet was strong but I should have put him on A7, A2 or air also. I think I should have called. I actually folded...

Couldn't we also see him playing AQ this way? The turn min-raise looking to see if you really are comfortable with your A and then the river giving him 2 pair and not completing any flush or straight draws has him leading out?

COuld also be a semi-bluff by Axh with a weakish A and the picked up flush draw on the turn that didn't work out?

Agree though that he is trying to appear to be value-betting the river since he's oop but I'm not sure it's really a set line. Wouldn't a set have not min-raised the turn and checked to you on the river for a c/r since you'd been leading into the put every time he'd checked to you?

I actually think monsters donkbet into the aggressor come the river. Players get too scared that their c-r on the river will just get checked behind.

It smelled like a set to me. Depending on the read, I'd fold or call. If he's a scared nit I fold.
