The almost min 4-bet pre was very scary to me and i guess i called trying to spike a Q. Should i just have folded to the 4-bet pre if i can be forced to fold this flop?

In this situation, you want to decide whether you are going to play for stacks or not before the flop. Any bet you make or call on the flop will leave you pot committed. Assuming 100BB stacks (in this case, actually closer to 70BB's), I don't like to call a 4bet with anything other than A-A/K-K, and in a standard 100NL game against an unknown i would advise you to do the same. So, i would fold this preflop.
Here are some numbers to better help you understand why folding here preflop is best:
Even giving this unknown a generous 4bet range (50% of the A-K, Q-Q hands)
