Should Hero bet or go for a check-raise? If betting on the turn, how much?

Bet 10, push river.

My thinking would be if I bet I may get called with a draw or raised by a K or as a bluff. If I c/r I'll win a bet IF he does bet but he'll fold a draw and give up any bluffing. I'd probably bet half pot on the turn, if he has a K it will all be going in anyway and if not a smaller bet might not scare him as opposed to say potting it.

Here's how to set up the best situation for a C/R with a set OOP:

If UTG hit flop, you might be able to stack him. If he didn't nothing is happening. So we lead flop for 2/3 pot. If UTG just calls, we lead turn again. But more likely if UTG has a hand, he re-raises. Just call his R/R and its "normal" for you to check the turn after calling a re-raise. Now since we built a big pot on the flop, after he bets turn probably half or more of his stack is in the pot and he can't get away. You re-raise him all in.

If you don't build a pot on the flop, it's a lot easier for him to fold to the c/r. The key is to build a pot on the flop. By checking flop sometimes you pick up an extra cbet, but you keep the pot small and allow villain to get away. Check/Call Check/raise turn is a very suspicious line, reeks of a monster. So does my line, but half his stack is in there when it's done and they are pot committed.

I actually prefer to have sets OOP because this line is so powerful and effective.

UTG doesn't seem to like his hand.

I like the lead for 10, maybe even 8.

In situations where it looks like villain doesn't like his hand, I like to lead weak. In this case I would bet out ~$5. This accomplishes many things: In the event he has nothing, it induces a bluff since it looks like a weak probe bet. In the case where he has a K, he will raise you big and then you can rr allin since he will be committed. If he flat calls then you probably got a bet out of him where he would have checked behind you. Lastly, if he folds then you weren't gonna get anything out of him anyway.
