KK on a bad board
villain is new to table, passive post flop. Ok, this situation happens often and I am often unsure of how to play it. The turn and the river were both bad cards for my hand, because there is a number of things that could beat my hand obviously. My reason for the turn and river bets was to not give my opponent the opportunity to bluff, so i put small blocking bets out there. Is this bad reasoning? Should I have just check folded the turn and river. Any advice on how to play this better would be helpful, thanks.

you played it fine. i bet just a little bit more on the turn.

I would bet the turn and river hard. He may be just as scared of a draw as you and may consider a river fold even if he has you beat with 2p, which doesn't seem likely
if he has a straight, wow he played it badly

Bet more on the turn, so many hands are calling.
