Totally agree with the above. My first thoughts when i saw this hand without any responses was why why why so passive? Raise flop imo, if not raise turn.
As played i probably just call utg's river min raise as that seems to almost always be a flush. I guess i just don't get why you decided to never raise, then on the river after someone already raises to indicate a flush, you want to 3 bet which likely is just going to open you up to a big 4bet by villain?

As for reasons, i think the biggest is to build the pot, just like you would bet/raise any of your really good hands, and to make people pay to see a 4th club which would essentially kill your hand.

You're giving any higher club/set a free draw to a better hand. How would you feel about your flop call if the turn was another club or paired the board?

If you're outflopped, you're outflopped. Personally, 64s isn't usually a call for me pre here but I'm a bit of a nit.

the reason i played it passive was to let the 2pairs and sets to keep betting/calling...whereas a raise might scare them out of the pot.

i'm assuming that you guys are all insta-calling a flop or turn shove from villain after you raise?

Rarely is a call of a shove instant without the near nuts.

well, it's a relatively simple scenario, since we only have 1 player we're worried about if they shove (they cover us), and it's pretty much call or fold after they push on the flop or the river.

so....

scenario A: flop raise.
BB bets $10, UTG calls $10, MP folds, Hero raises to $50, BB folds, UTG pushes (roughly $150 to call into $200 pot).

scenario B: turn raise
BB bets $34, UTG calls $34, Hero (well i guess cuz of the pot size we're committed if we get reraised, so it's just push)...

ok, so for scenario A, hmmmm it almost looks like an easy fold.

I always play flopped baby flushes fast. Raise flop. Raise turn and get it allin before another club hits or the board pairs. The hand is very vulnerable and you don't want to make it cheap for villain to draw out on you.

Lol, a flopped flush is an instant flop felt, if possible. Sets and 2p don't fold that often. Scare cards hit often. Villians felt worse than 2p from time to time. Get it in now, always.

depends on the action. but if the turn paired and it was the same action, i would lean towards a fold, same if a 4th flush card came.

Actually I enjoyed how you played it until the river, not sure I would 3bet cold. You've underrepped your hand grossly but IDK, you have like the 90th nuts in a limped pot and the Ac is not on the board.

Yes.

What's wrong with limping behind. I usually raise but it's not like it's not profitable. Rather limp than fold.

Definitely raise the flop, although you might have to fold your hand later if your opponents are tight at all. As played you should fold the river.
