i'm getting roughly 2:1 to call...i'm pretty damn sure he doesn't have a 4...he's pretty straightforward TAG, but his river line was a major WTF.

I call here a lot with big pairs when opponents just wouldnt have hit this as they dont play the trash represented.
I fold here. You've represented a big pair and it looks like a set or 44. I don't think you're ahead enough of the time here to make this call profitable. Especially with your read. Is there any read he might have on you that would make him think you won't call or that you would have air here?
check the turn. Villain isn't going to bet with 8-8/6-x. If he bets he has two pair or better, floated as a bluff (not super likely at 100NL), or was drawing and hit.
