I have no reads on the villian, just opened up my 4 tables, I felt he may have had AK here but wasn't too sure due to no reads. I thought about reppin the flush on the turn, but felt he would call my raise anyway, and I wasn't too sure where I was in this hand.

How badly did I play this?

If we're not to be too "fancy" at microstakes (as I'm lead to believe), then repping the flush on the river is out of the question. Alot of players at this level will stack off with any heart.

Along those same lines, any check-raise should set off an alarm in your head. You just sat down at this table and haven't shown any tendencies to bluff/c-bet, and even if you did, would anyone really notice? This is almost always a sign of great strength, and you have second pair.

I would fold to the flop raise. As played, I think the fold on the river is fine.

Ty, I was gonna rep the flush on the turn not the river, for obv reasons, but you are right, hence my fold on the river.

MP2 is afraid of river too, hence the 4:1.
Most of the time, the minraises at 25NL mean super slowplaya who flops set. Its all the rage these days.

c-bet a little bigger on drawy flops like this. $1.50 seems good here. As played you have to fold the river. If the 4th heart doesnt come i probably call the river bet since its so small.

yeah I was thinkin the same thing about the river being a non heart, I would have called no problem, but couldn't risk it. I am trying to preserve as many bets by folding when i think I am beat.

I don't mind calling the flop raise, from what iv'e seen at small stakes, donks like to min raise any top pair, because they know it looks like a big hand.

Sorry, I misread that. Same logic applies though. Your opponent has a strong hand, and it's unlikely that he can be pushed out of the pot, despite the scare card IMO.

I almost never bluff at these stakes, unless you count c-bets (though I'm beginning to wonder if even that is very profitable). It might be a leak, it might not. I just know that it's not necessary to profit here and it keeps me out of trouble.

Why do we want to call if we know we're behind?

On flop: bad call, 'cuz you'll probably have to fold to turn bet. I don't know how to argument it exactly, but its bad.

On river: you end the action. Costs you $2 to win $9, not to mention valuable info as to wtf the villain bet 3xbb pf and minraised flop with.

Next time he does the same play, you would have his range pinned down.

Was my flop reraise here idiotic? Given how dangerous the board looks for my AA here? I know I could have raised more here preflop but I didn't want people to fold, given how tight I was playing.
