wow, these things are fucked up, my bmi is 31 which says I'm Obese.
I'm 5'9 and 210lbs. I would need to get to 165lbs to have a high normal BMI, which at this point I would look like a cancer patient.
these things were created by the insurance industry, so they can charge you higher rates on insurance.
BMI is silly, doesn't take into acct muscle mass properly IMO
Doesn't really apply to any athletic person at all. They are all about the money (Diet books, insurance tables, etc.). This takes nothing into account about lifestyle at all. I would stick to a BF% scale or a caliper test for now as a measure of health, from the outside. Otherwise get blood and stress tests if your concerned about the inside.
5'11, 195 (some of it is even muscle!). 27.2
25.1
Did you know 75% of linemen in the NFL are obese?
I'm also 5'9" and actually aim for about 165. I have some muscle on me too. Unless you're the most ripped person in the world, you may not be obese, but overweight seems likely.Quote:

I'd go 90% ripped 10% overweight. But the muscle is what totally warpes your BMI.
yeah, im 6'4" and my BMI is 34. im definitly not obese. I am overweight (which i am working on), but i have a sick dense body structure. To be a 25 bmi which is the highest in the "healthy" range, i would have to weigh 205 lbs. When i was a senior in H.S., i weighed 225 and was ripped (like 6% body fat. I too, would look like a cancer patient.
Get it under 200lbs and you'd look great
pull up your pant's
poll needed you fat assQuote:

This is true but you have to be particularly athletic for it to apply to you. I play sports 1-2 times a week and this isn't enough for BMI not to be accurate.Quote:

ya, this is def wrong cuz i'm a 19.9 which says i'm normal. i could definitely gain 20-30 lbs.

Obese is such a morbid word but scientifically obese isn't that fat.
15.5.
That's 5'9 and 105lbs.

Underweight. 6ft tall and around 115 pounds.
i guess if you were 55 feet 7 inches tall and weighed 108 pounds, your bmi would be .2
