Top set on 3 flush flop, river decision

OK, I've been running absolutely sick for the last few days. I only deposited $50 on PS to play a few donkaments (I played on WillHill like forver, but it doesnt have enough good tables) , if you scope me I'm down about $24 after a good start then variance kicked in lol. Anyway, I decided to deposit another $100, won an MTT then decided to play 25nl for a while.

I ran pretty goot and since friday I'm upto ~600. I decided to take a small shot at $50NL. I have money on other sites, so don't berate me for bad BR management! lol

Anyway, here's the hand in question. Obv I NEVAAAAAR folding this, but is there value in raising river or is this just a call 99.9% of the time. I guess only flushes are calling if I push over - but villains line doesnt make any sense whatsoever for a flush. I guess what I'm asking is if only better hands call me if I raise and everything else folds then then there is no point right?

Just call. Also, why doesn't his line make sense for a flush? It's called slowplaying and ppl do it chronically at these stakes.

I think you answered your own question. You know that only a flush is gonna make the call, so making a reraise is definitely a bad move. If hes bluffing and you reraise he is going to fold anway, so it doesn't make you any money. If he has the flush you lost atleast another 10 bucs. Fold or Call is the real question?? With almost 40 in the pot I would flat call and hope he is stealing.

I wonder about the turn bet. What about a pot-sized raise? Here's my thinking. You offered him 2.8 to 1 pot odds on the turn, and he's 3.5 to 1 against hitting his flush if he's got only one diamond. He may call his flush draw on the implied odds. A pot-sized raise will chase out most draws.

If he calls, you're probably behind. But you have 9 outs to a full house plus 1 to quads. The river may crush him (it didn't, but it could). And you take down a 27 BB pot if he folds to the turn bet. I don't see a value bet here against that scary flop. I would try to chase him out on the turn and pray for a boat if he called.

I didn't give him the correct odds so if I bet like 3-5 more he'd probably still call anyway. I don't know why I bet that small on the turn, thats not like me. Usually I'd be making it about $10.

My thinking was he probably didn't have a flush on the turn as he would have lead out or c/r. So I was calling any river bet if he donked, betting about half pot if he checked with a non-full house card or betting close to pot/putting CO all in if the river brough the FH.

I haven't got the HH, coz I'm at work...But I'm 90% he showed up with Q4 - no diamonds. I was like wft!???!?!? lol I will post later

Definite lmao. I don't think your play was bad, and the fish certainly can play so erratic some days you have no idea what their bets mean. FYI, I tend to be a show-down muppet with the second best hand, so I've been trying to correct that. That's why I jam the turn and fade the river with a hand that's easily dominated against a drawy board.

Buddy list that guy, though. Still lmao.

Call his bet. If his bet was something like $5 then I'd raise but that sure doesn't look like a blocking bet, but a value bet. He's giving you almost 3-1 odds and hoping for a call.

That's my opinion but I bet this donkey missed his flush :lol:
