changing to cashgames
Hi,
I'm fairly new to this, posted sometimes in the SNG section but never startet a topic. Ok I've been playing poker for arround 7-8 months now and Im a moneymaking 10$ Buy-in SNG player. I made arround 1k profit, cashed something out here and there and Im currently working with a 300$ BR (Im a poor fulltime student and need the extra cash). Now I wanted to start playing cashgames seriously, I played here and there but always lost money. Never had a clear approach to the NL cashgames. My question is what is important in cash games and different to SNGs.
- Why site should I chose ? (currently at FTP with rakeback, but heart cash was quite hard; Im non-American as u might have noticed ;))
- Is there special literature i should read? (I read HoH1&2 for SNG/MTT play and really improved my game also read Thereoy of Poker)
- Should I start a the lowest limits or is NL10 and NL25 already beatable with general poker experience
- Should I buy Poker Tracker / Poker Ace (only have 300$ to play with)
- Do have good articles to read about NL or videos?
Ok lot of question and lots of text, thx for ur help in advance

you should be fine at 10nl if you are a winning sng player. I would wait until you have atleast 20 buyins until you jump into 25nl.
As for PT, find a site that gives PT as a signup bonus and then just buy PAHUD, its only $25.

also, read a bunch of threads in the short handed nl forum as well as the full ring forum.

Definitely read and post some hands in the FR or SH forum.

since you are non-US...chase every bonus you can find. then, pound the reloads.
but, the main difference is PATIENCE. the blinds arent going anywhere in ring games. you wont be forced to make moves, and neither will your villains. so, dont get frisky with KXo in MP. stay disciplined to whatever style you choose, and play lots of hands.
