First spot)
200NL. Say we hold 77 on the button and call an open raise of $7 from a TAG in the CO. Blinds fold.

Flop($16) comes Q63r, he cbets and we call.
Turn($39): T, putting a FD on the board.
He checks, Hero ???

Do you bet or check here?

If you check, what rivers are you calling a bet on?

Second spot)
200NL with $210 stacks. We open to $7 OTB with 99. Guy who is not very aggressive and maybe a bit nitty post flop repops to $22 from the SB. We don't really know much about his 3betting frequency. We call.

Flop($46): 258 with 2 spades.
He bets $30, we call.

Turn($105): 2 offsuit.
He checks, do you bet or check? ($158 behind)

hand 1:
I check behind because I hate getting c/red and don't expect villain to bluff lots of rivers. I don't expect villain to think he has a lot of FE, so I don't call that much rivers.

I do wonder how good a river raise is when the flush completes and villain bets.

Hand 2:
I check behind and call non A/K rivers. Though I don't really now how good that is.

i check behind the turn i hand 1 mostly. Against villains who c-bet too much i will bet here though.

hand 2: against a passive villain i tend to check behind and call a river bet on a blank river (blank being anything but A,K, and Q's). Pushing is good in this spot sometimes too!

Hand 1) check. Not really calling any substantial river bet ever unless the river is a 7. Also i'm usually reraising pre.

Hand 2) check behind obv. It's not like he's calling the bet with anything you're beating. I'd also fold to almost all river leads.

Tbh I think I raise/call the flop in hand 2 a lot if villain is likely 3-betting a bit lighter than standard and decent aggressive postflop (though yours is not as you described). Any comments on that?

Massimo, would you fold to a turn bet by vilain? If yes, combined with you folding almost all rivers, wouldn't that make it a fold preflop?
