villain is 14.7/11.4/1.1 over 247 hands. WTF, i just couldnt understand why he made such a call on the river? Actually, i rep AK+, kk, AA or some weird straight a whole lot here and put him on TT, JJ ,QQ or other weak one pair hand. :? how many folks here would call my river bet?

I fire for at least $18 on the flop. Doesn't seem like much more but psychologically it's closer to $20 and looks stronger. If he has TT+ he's probably calling anyway on that flop. On the turn scarecard IF we bet it we HAVE to represent strength, and betting <1/2 pot doesn't do that, quite the opposite. AK/KK are either all over this turn or are checking it to trap. If you're planning to three-barrel anyway then you might as well fire a bigger volley here.

Not sure I want to be trying this against a 14.7 unless he folds a lot of turns.

yup, i totally agreee with you warp. Honestly, i really had serious problem playing mid pairs oop when i raised preflop, got callers behind and missed my set value on the flop. :x
77-TT sound to me like a few losing hands when i tried to play them oop facing resistance behind.

Hmmm, the river's a tough one. I definitely bet 35-45 on turn, and if he calls that then I think I'm just gonna give it to him. He should know to fold any pair other than a king. Problem is that how can he have a king given flop action or a monster given flop/turn action? So firing again may be best. I dunno.

yup, i should've bet this much on the turn and fire the third barrel huge.
The range i put him on is correct and he did have QQ in this hand. Probably river straight card helped him think twice about my hand strenth.
14.7/11.4/1.1 tight weak player calling down like that is beyond me.:twisted:
