All in, no pair, no draw?

Villain here is a very aggro tagg who almost only reraises preflop, running at 22/20 over a few hundred hands.

This happened really quickly in the flow of the game so I’m curious how terrible, good or meh it appears to everybody.

FWIW I’m pretty confident villain’s range doesn’t include 99+ and big broadways. Also it’s very tough for him to have a pair with his flushdraw for obvious reasons.

why shove as opposed to reraise/fold to shove??

wud a reraise not have the same effect of folding out his 66-88 type holdings?

So he doubted your rep'd AT / overpair did he? What'd he call down with, sixes or a set?

I'll just reiterate what Da GOAT said, and what Eric Lindgren said in one of his recent books:

Avoid going all-in if you can help it (use it as a last resort).

Sklansky has said too, that the impending threat of an all-in on a later street is usually scarier than having to call an all-in.

I think the reason for going all in vs 3-betting is that I am pretty sure he'll shove his draws like :jc: :qc: , :5c: :6c: etc that have good equity on the flop but won't feel very good about calling a shove getting a bad price
