He was very nitty preflop while I have catched him bluffing several times when he finally decided to play his hand. So the only hand that is in his range and beats us is A4 and I still have some outs against him then. Am I a maniac? :P

I don't really get this. I think he only calls if he has us beat here. I would just call that turn.

I would've thought opp is JJ-AA, loving the flop. I would call the turn and c/c the river.

whats your plan on a blank river if you call the turn. Villain will most likely check behind even with overpairs because calling is telling him you are just as strong as pushing here imo.

I am fine with your push here - villain has invested so much it's hard to see him folding a high overpair or 33 or 55. If he has 44 or 77 you're losing regardless, and if he has a 88-TT type hand I don't think he's putting any more money in.

I guess I really was thinking of his bluffing range and c/c almost any river because he very unlikely has a 4 here. I guess I was trying to take the line that extracts the most from a bluff because I feel the only way we get more money in on this is with him bluffing. I'm no expert, just trying to put my thoughts down for others to criticize.

im certainly no expert either and wasnt criticizing you. I was just curious as to whether you would shove the river or try to c/c. I just dont see villain putting more money in either on the river and think he will call a shove on the turn with overpairs given pot odds.

well I'm welcome to any criticism as long as it helps haha but yeah his calling range on turn is probably slightly wider than river and if he can call with overs on turn then I'd push turn. I just think the board looks too scary for overs to want to put all their chips in.

So my line is acceptable then?
What if he had a wider range? if he can have K4 do we have to fold? Generally how many possible preflop holdings containing a 4 does he need to have to make the fold more profitable? I seen him bluffing once or twice but haven't been playing with him for a very long time.

The wider his range the more I like a shove. He's going to think you're FOS enough to make a call here with a dominated two pair/overpair that makes the shove +EV.
