10NL - TPTK hand
Taken from my operation thread. Only been at the table a few hands, this is the first I've played. Villian seems aggressive, but as said its only been a few hands:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)
UTG ($10.05)
MP ($12.40)
Hero ($9.75)
SB ($12.85)
BB ($7.50)
Preflop: Hero is Button with http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/.../smiles/kh.gif, http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/.../smiles/ac.gif.
1 fold, MP calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.4, 2 folds, MP calls $0.30.
Flop: ($0.95) http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/.../smiles/kc.gif, http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/.../smiles/6h.gif, http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/.../smiles/8s.gif (2 players)
MP bets $1, Hero raises to $2.5, MP raises to $12, Hero ???
I called, but in retrospect I'm worried his hand plays a lot like a PP which hit a set. I dont play a lot of cash, and I'm trying to avoid making big mistakes, but at the time I felt this was a call.
Thoughts?
-
make it like 4ish on the flop and snap call.
-
4 seems large. Is that to give us easy odds to call a push, or some other reason (like its not as large as I think :p)?
-
its fine, sets very very rarely lead flops
-
nothing wrong about 4 and definitely a call.
-
I need to have seen him get pretty aggro before I call this. Its a set/ 2 pair far more often than something like KQ from an unknown. Its a pretty small percentage who will play KQ like this, and there arent really any draws he could have. Add to that the fact that he overbet both times and I think its a pretty easy fold.
