200nl 67k stats check-up

I play between 9 and 12 tables at a time. Stars 200NL. ALWAYS bought in for full, and topped up as frequently as possible.

These stats are from December 1st - present. I played about 60k hands in December and took a few weeks off since then, playing at Turning Stone, Seneca, and Niagara.

I have not used PT since the last time I posted stats here (November 2006). After much debate over using the program with various members, I figured I'd sign back up and see what happens.

My biggest concern is my button play. A year ago, Button was by far my most profitable positions. Is there anything in here that you can point to that might explain why the button is the way it is for the past 67k?

How's Niagara? I'm probably heading down with a friend to Fallsview in Niagara in a month or two. I hear it's impossible to get a table on the weekends so we're thinking a thursday night.

Your stats look like you limp more than spoon, more like me. I'm like 16/9 at 25NL. All that limping lowers your Total AF down...mine is low as well, despite similar FTR AFs.

We would need position stats to comment on position specific leaks.

I don't play 200NL but I would imagine you could raise your attempt to steal blinds by a bit. it would also increase your pfr% and your total af.

your position stats are relatively flat. it also looks like you are playing too many hands from UTG/UTG+1, especially for an open limp. almost 3% of your UTG hands are limps. I would imagine these are mostly low pp's, so if they are being paid off when they hit then never mind, but if they aren't then you may want to look at those more closely.

based on this years stats for me at 100NL (small sample size though) my EP vpip is about 1/3 of my button vpip, and my raise first in % on the button is in the 15-20% range. My UTG vpip is the exact same as my UTG raise first in%. I have a similar overall VPIP to you, but I am raising a good 3-4% of those hands more than you.

of course I rarely call pf raises without a very specific reason, so my stats are probably a little skewed because of that (I play poorly without the initiative).

I can't comment on blind play because my blinds suck.

i preface my comments with acknowledging im a nit.

im not a big fan in the disparity between VPIP and PFR%, but i hate limping. to get your VPIP that high id imagine you would have to limp a relatively wide range in EP and even MP. i think if you limped less of your range, especially open limping, it would drive your total AF way up. i took a look at the misc stats in my database for 70k hands over various limits and i think being down with high card, one pair is pretty normal, not sure about two pair.

as for the guessing, gonna go ahead and say you are a decent winner. your won $ wsf and won $ at sd look good, and id imagine if you were close to break even or down you woulda used PT a lot sooner.

i went to odss from gr. 9-12 and PEPS from gr. 6-8. Casino Niagara does suck greatly for getting a table on friday or saturday nights. The tables are smaller than most casinos too. But, the poker room atmosphere is great and perfect for anyone into sports because it's more of a sports bar poker room. Usually I call ahead when I pass by Oakville (hour away, niagara puts you on the waiting list for 90min before you check in). I went to seneca across the lake for the first time last week, and it's my new favorite casino in the area. Free drinks, big tables, lots of drunks, free food, crab legs at the buffet etc.

As for the stats:
I do limp a lot. I think though that I am limping first in too often and should tighten or raise them up instead. I'm not going to post wy winrates positionally as per request. Just take my word for it: My button position is weaker than 3 of the other seats just to the right of it. I'm winning about 33% less on the button than those other three seats... really weird.

Seneca's where it's at eh? Do they have a hourly rate like niagara or just your standard rake? Free drinks. Damn. That might make it difficult to stay sober. I am very weak :cry: ...At least there would be more drunk fish around...

Is it easier to get on tables there, and do they offer 1/2 games?

The position stats pic did not come up last time I posted. That or you edited your OP(not likely since no italics post came up). Nevermind, this time when I went back to check the Top holdings page didn't come up. Some of your pics are not showing up everytime.

Anyway, Yes I definitely limp less UTG-HJ. I also defend my BB less unless you are doing so profitably. I can't see how you could while 10+ tabling. Defending your BB 25% of the time doesn't seem profitable. If your flop AF is only 3 you can probably squeeze more profit out of your flop play. I would cbet/raise more flops or call fewer flop leads. This causes more opponents to make mistakes by play back at you with weaker/marginal holdings.

In some ways you play quite good. Raise asb, raise more from btn, turn/river af is AWESOME, and your total af will change when you uncheck the include pf af into total af box in PT. Which is what everybody should do since it's what the ballas do.

What's asb?
My Total AF more than doubled to 2.93 when I excluded PF.

as an fyi, i think 25 asb is the lowest it should go, 35 *might* be optimal, but it really depends on how you seat select. I dont play a lot of tables so I seat select for bad nits to my left. I can run at like 60 asb sometimes. Also, playing to the right of a good lag really fucks blind and lp winrate. Due to this (and other things obv) I can't stand massive tabling.

And when spoon excludes his pf af into total af we'll see that you both have similar total af.
