IMHO, the loose call was preflop- Post flop, I think you played well. There are many styles of pre-flop play out there, but personally, I'm not a fan of risking 2.5x pot with AJ in EP. I'm also likely to fold an AJ against a reraise preflop, unless you have a solid read on the villain's 3-betting range. All that aside, I agree with Jimmy about betting the flop pretty hard- I would bet pot here, and call the min-raise- In your example, you're getting about 5 to 1 pot odds to draw to your flush on the flop. (you need about 3 to 1 excluding implied odds, etc.) If you had bet pot, and he min-raised, you would still be getting 4 to 1 on the call.
