Villan was over 8 hands... looked loose'ish.

Flop played fine, just be careful raising AJs this early after the blinds.

Looks fine, although I would bet the flop a little harder.

Every street is a-ok. I'm tempted to shove the flop though.

IMHO, the loose call was preflop- Post flop, I think you played well. There are many styles of pre-flop play out there, but personally, I'm not a fan of risking 2.5x pot with AJ in EP. I'm also likely to fold an AJ against a reraise preflop, unless you have a solid read on the villain's 3-betting range. All that aside, I agree with Jimmy about betting the flop pretty hard- I would bet pot here, and call the min-raise- In your example, you're getting about 5 to 1 pot odds to draw to your flush on the flop. (you need about 3 to 1 excluding implied odds, etc.) If you had bet pot, and he min-raised, you would still be getting 4 to 1 on the call.

SUCH good points! Thanks SO much! Thanks to the greats in this forum I've ruled out AJ in EP, and AJs I still need to ween off like a bad habbit ;)

I REALLY like the betting pot on the flop to hopefully provoke a min raise and get proper odds. Are we betting the flop (pot size) to hope for a fold, but yet if there is a raise, and it's a terrible one, we build a pot and get the odds to call? Is betting a pot size villan dependant?

Is a PFR with AJs in MP1 really that loose?

Calling the min-3bet is mandatory

In this situation if I am betting the flop, I want to build a pot or steal it on the flop with a good draw. I like to bet the size of the pot because it disguises the strength of my hand. (It looks like I'm betting a top pair hand to try and chase out a flush draw.)

Yes. If you have noticed that this player likes to check-raise all-in on the flop when he is the preflop raiser, I would tend to play this draw passively. (One could also make the case for playing with caution here when the pot was re-raised preflop in general). You want to avoid spewing into a maniac. In addition, I would not make this play every time you have a flush draw, because if anyone is aware of your play, they will start to look you up, or try to raise you out with better hands.
