He's posted a few good articles, but I don't count 19 hands as one of them.
As for spammy avatars, Xman allows them in certain situations. His is not one of them as far as I know.
The comment after what i assume to be Triptanes's book review.

Also haha QQ bitch.
I don't know aok or anything about this drama but damn this made me laugh.Quote:

Just seems to get even more Douchbaggy every post you make. No spell check needed. I think it may be time for AoK to go.
Not to mention you can use the "Amazon search inside" feature to read it now that he took all his posts down from the forum. I've seriously just been sitting here for the last 3 minutes laughing that aok thinks it's libel to post a negative review of his book.Quote:

in any case, FTR has at least one lawyer (Woo charizard) who would likely defend its people's to the end.Quote:

Posts on a forum on one thing. Purposefully attempting to undermine a work of business is another. All reviews on Amazon.com require a "Real Name" from the reviewer. The reviews above are not legitimate reviews and are meant to impune my reputation in the public square and undermine my standing in the community. I have asked Amazon.com to remove these reviews. I have asked Flopturnriver.com to remove any posts that attempt to encourage others to copy this actionable behaviors. I am asking the people who posted these reviews to go and remove them immediately. Thank you.
If you're unsure of the meaning of slander or libel, here it is:
slander :
A type of defamation. Slander is an untruthful oral (spoken) statement about a person that harms the person's reputation or standing in the community. Because slander is a tort (a civil wrong), the injured person can bring a lawsuit against the person who made the false statement. If the statement is made via broadcast media -- for example, over the radio or on TV -- it is considered libel, rather than slander, because the statement has the potential to reach a very wide audience.
libel:
a written or oral defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavorable impression b (1): a statement or representation published without just cause and tending to expose another to public contempt (2): defamation of a person by written or representational means
p.s. if i dont like something it is probably illegal
Haha, nice one vqc. I thought of a couple more entries he could put in his glossary.
frivolous claims:
A frivolous claim in legal terms refers to a lawsuit or motion in a lawsuit motivated by an intent merely to harass, delay or embarrass the opposition. In order to be found frivolous, the claim must have no arguable basis in law or fact. Frivolous acts can include filing the lawsuit itself, a motion for a court action in a lawsuit, an answer of a defendant to a complaint which does not deny, contest, prove or controvert anything, or an appeal which is without any valid supporting arguments.
plagiarism:
Passing off someone else's work as your own, whether word for word or merely the creative ideas. This can amount to copyright infringement if permission has not been obtained from the copyright owner for use of the expressive elements of the work. Even if permission is granted, putting your name on someone else's work is still plagiarism and is unethical within artistic, scientific, academic and political communities.
wth that wasn't me!

Oh shit you mean removing all of his posts. My bad. Wrong Rippy moment.
:lock:
Who is Soulja Boy and why is his Amazon review showing "Flopturnriver" as his location???
Whoever did so, please remove the review. I've already reported it as inappropriate to Amazon staff. It does FTR no good to get involved in this silly squabble -- particularly, when someone is misrepresenting us in this way.
You're hurting FTR and your own FTR account is in jeopardy if this is not removed from Amazon promptly.
Please do not attempt to represent FlopTurnRiver for us. Only we Admins and those we task with representing us should claim to be "FlopTurnRiver."
What is this HoH unauthorised lessons stuff about? I can't find the amazon linky
BTW, if aokrongly chooses to edit all of his posts, that is his prerogative. He didn't ask us to remove them for him, as Ripptyde had done.
I hadn't seen aok's avatar in the brief time he had it up, so I don't know if it was inappropriate or not. He's removed it now, so it doesn't seem to matter.
Lastly, please do not use FTR to encourage posting negative reviews on Amazon or any other place. If you have your own genuine opinion of the book and wish to post a thoughtful and useful review at Amazon, that is your prerogative. But do not stage "sabateur" antics here at FTR.
Thank you.
