Messing around at 25nl

So I'm down at 25nl PPPWWWWWNINGGGGG marshall and kinda fucking around, and this hand comes up.

Villain is like 16/14 nit over 20 or 200 whatever doesn't matter he's a nit but not super duper nit. I played some of this bad but I don't care was kinda looking for ways to pound in unusual places and I found one on the river.

My rationale is that villain is valuing top pair, but the board hits my line hard and he's a nit who always thinks he's gotten drawn out on who's even more scared when deep and is only calling with a set and I guess could possibly even fold that.

I dont get how this hits your line hard unless you had 5Xs. What other hands did you call flop with?

He probably folds anyway though.

wtf is your line? ... random 25nler's think everybody is on a flush draw when they flat call. he opened UTG and hes firing 3 barrels ... lol hes not ever bluffing, this is 2 pr or better always.

lol this is never 2p. He's not raising A8s UTG. His range of what beats me is pretty much AA 88 44 less likely 66 and maaaaaaybe 77 55 at a stretch.

I am repping a 5 yes, but I don't think I necessarily need to rep a specific hand here. He's not thinking that deeply and is scared of this river even with AA. I'm not trying to get him off AA though, just AK AQ stuff, which if he's a sane 25nl nit he folds. In his eyes I'm repping something that gets hit by the turn and/or river, something that beats 2p and possibly but probably not beats a set. I know some nits at full ring could lay down a set here, but trying to get him off a set is dumb anyways. I don't like my pf or turn play, but I think as played, he has top pair in his range and folds river.

Verses nits and semi-shallow thinkers we don't necessarily need to rep a range, but rep strength. Back when I was a nit I didn't put people on ranges or hands. It's semantics, but it really is just about shallow thinkers not reading hands well and being scared. He doesn't see what my line reps, but that I called down and shoved deep with impunity. He puts me on a 5 a lot, as he should since I can easily have a 5, but he also looks more at the strength of my line in relation to the board and plays he hand vs that instead of putting me on a range on each street. Even if he reads good, calling with tptk is real hard here because the only thing he beats is a bluff.

A bad line turns into a good line if villain thinks he's up against a stronger hand, no matter how it went down. He can put us on big hands with bad lines because he does that with fish and he doesn't know how to distinguish fishy plays from good plays that well. If he did he wouldn't be a nit at 25nl.

yeah i woulda called A high and sucked out on u on the turn, but thats the bottom end of my range, everything else im holding that calls you crushses u too. either way, i thought you said u could handle some needling bud. HAHA! : )

and about the hand in question, i think you have a decent argument, but you cant get around two facts, one ... a nit just triple barreled u. nits don't triple barrel light. and 2 ... you just cant give a bad player enough credit to fold in a lot of circumstances. this is why we value town them light and reduce our bluffing frequencies in general against them.
