the canucks probably wont make it into the playoffs. I feel bad for Luongo, he's amazing, but the team just has zero depth up front. The shouldve made a big move to get some more scoring at the trading deadline, but they didn't
I forgot, Go SHARKS.
aw my fave team in liek nhl 94 on sega genesis... I'd score a million gaols with geoff courtnall, pavel bure, and cliff ronning!
Nope.Quote:

I do think we could still make the playoffs though if we play like we did in February plus get Morrison back asap. (eternal optimist obviously)
ya. Do you remember the earthquake during the playoffs a few years back?Quote:

If we are out of the playoffs by then, I will buy your tickets for $20 :PQuote:

Hockey RULES.
Go Jets go!!!
Ok, stfu and leave me alone.
If Vancouver was a little deeper they wouldn't have to keep taking all the good Moose players from us (eg. Bourdon, Pyatt, Kesler, Burrows, Edler, etc. etc.)
So im a little bitter about the Jets.
Habs and Leafs still suck.
Im out.
Ok so I was at the game last night, definitely a great game everybody except nasland played pretty well. Tootoo is an tool and deserves to get his ass kicked. I am a big bieksa fan.
We will make the playoffs and I'm willing to bet anyone who doesn't agree with me.
Probably will...but Nashville just beat Calgary in OT! Another effin' 3 point game.Quote:

Its because teams werent trying to win in overtime.Quote:

What they need to do.
Is fire that piece of shit Gary Betman and put a Canadian in charge of the league.
No offence to any other countries, but an american in charge of the NHL is retarded. Just like a Canadian running the NFL would be retarded.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY SHOULD ENCOURAGE FIGHTING, NOT TRY TO GET RID OF IT.
I think it's really dumb that some games are worth three points and the rest worth two. They should make the games that don't go to overtime worth three points if they want to award a point to an overtime loser.
it should just go wins and losses.
LET'S GO PENS!
Another Big win!!!! They didn't look that great but good teams find a way to win.
Attention Markus Naslund. If you could please get a goal or an assist or both that woud be great kthxs.
Haha! We won a game! In your face teams that have first line scoring power!
if we get 8th, and play detroit rd 1, my friend was to give me 3:1 odds... good deal?
Chris
you'd be betting on the canucks I assume?
I think we have the best chance against detroit of any of the top 3. They really only looked good at the start of the season. I would definitely consider it depending on what kind of injuries we both have by the playoffs.
Good luck with that.Quote:

Detroit would not crush us. They will most likely be going out first round this year, unless they play Nashville or Minny.
Ohhh baby so clutch...
Cloutiers actually played really well, kinda surprising.
Calgary winning was kinda unfortunate, they do have a tough remaining schedule though.
I'm predicting 6 out of 8 points on this road trip.
Oh and if anybody sees Daniel and Henrik Sedin along with Markus Nasland could you please get them on a plane for Anaheim kthxs.

chris pronger is a goon and should be suspended. He gets way too many get out of jail free cards.
couldn't agree more, he's one of the dirtiest players in the league if not the dirtiest.Quote:

Im laughing at how much of a pussy league it is now that he could be considered a goon.
You have obviously never seen him play live by making a comment like that. I will however not hold it against you. I do agree that there is definitely a pussy aspect to this league but pronger would be a goon in any era.
I was kinda surprised they suspended him but definitely not against him.
I don't know. I love the fighting, I love it when people stand up for their team. I love it when people finish their checks.Quote:

A goon to me isnt a Dirty player.
Its a fighter.
Probert was a goon (although he did some dirty shit too..lol).
Ulf Samuleson was a dirty cheap shotter, and i dont like them either.
Thank Betman for the cheaps shots, because the fucking instigator rule is killing off the tough guy.
Now any little pussy can do what ever he wants and no one can do anything about it.
Back in the day you had to pay the piper when you did something cheap.
Ah definitional problem. I agree with you then. Pronger is a dirty cheap shotter.Quote:

I'm surprised no one bumped this to bitch about that last game. My god even if they did have a chance at the playoffs up to it things would have ended ugly.
It was still actually kind of a fun game to be at. Even though the fights and huge hits are awesome it's cool to see such respect from both sides while a 7-1 game would normally have been super embarrassing. Iginla got cheers from the whole Vancouver fan base for scoring his 50th just in time in the season. And Linden got a really good send off from the fans and players of both teams.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=T6YS7VAs7Iw
I was at the game and the Linden ovations were very moving. I appreciated the fact that he got respect from most of the Flames players, too.
The most annoying part of the game was that there were four Flames fans sitting in front of me visiting from Calgary. I had to listen to them gloat and cheer 7 times ...
He's such a class act and he's exactly the same in person as he is on the ice. I will definitely be at the game when his jersey goes up.
Well we're out of the playoffs, but there is still lots to talk about!
Goodbye Nonis.
I am not sure if I am happy or sad to see him go.
On the one hand, he made the trade of the century by getting Luongo here. You cant blame him for the shitty season. We had a lot of injuries.
On the other hand, he couldn't get us a proven goal scorer after three years, and he did fuck all at the trading deadline three years in a row.
In addition, he allowed Linden to be scratched for what, 23 games?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Alain get canned next.
So, who's Nonis's replacement gonna be?

I will bet money that it will be Burke. Coming back to Vancouver (where he'll end up upon retirement anyway) has gotta be more appealing than going to Toronto.
NOPE.Quote:

ranges v pitsburgh for east winner.
San Jose vs ducks for west winner.
West to win regardless unless the pens get there.
Cant see montreal winnign shit as at some point they'll run bad and bust.
detroit just dont have it for me, so $200 stuck on the rangers to win it all baby! lundqvist ftw
