not really enought info in your post, but assuming 100bb stacks im folding every one of those hands to a 3bet in and out of position. When stacks get deeper then we can start calling more of them, mostly in position though.
Stakes also make a pretty big difference in this.
First of all not 3 bet, you raise the blinds he reraises you, stakes full stack 100NL, so in this example you raise to 4$ with AQ he reraises to 12$ he has VP$IP of 30

More info needed. Post hands.
Villain 30/10-30, this was supposed to be a general thread so no hand histories, just trying to get a general feel for how you guys reason with medium hands against standard slightly tight aggressive guys
just post a hand history and ask what we would do with different hands otherwise this is too confusing.
based on the fact that you arent posting any relevant information necessary to make the correct decisions in the situations you are describing, the correct advice here, to you specifically, would be to fold in all situations.

Thats just 2 examples, the first was an easy fold i think
BTW generally how do you play aces ????=) lets see if you can answer that "without any relevant information"
: [
cant do it.
Fjaman try and figure out what range of hands villain is reraising
Look at how you are doing equity-wise vs that range with the various hands (66 and AJs play pretty differently)
Think about what kind of flops you can profitably raise if villain is c-betting almost all of the time
Stuff like that
LOL! I like to bet a lot with aces.Quote:

First hand - you raise UTG (showing a lot of strength) and you get 3-bet by a player in the blinds OOP. He knows you have a strong range, and at these stakes I'd imagine that this is mostly a very strong hand. Fold.
Second hand - The preflop raiser is UTG (showing a lot of strength) and could easily have hands like AK/AQ, and you're OOP the whole hand. Just fold pre with no reads. You're gonna be dominated or win a small pot.
